The funky, eclectic Royal/T Japanese art space and cafĂ©, complete with waitresses dressed like Japanese maids/ Alice in Wonderland, will disappearing down the rabbit hole by summer’s end.
Following a report Thursday on Eater L.A., where a Royal/T employee told the publication that the Culver City haunt will be shutting shop when its lease is up at the end of August, Patch contacted Royal/T's PR representatives Friday morning to try and confirm the rumors.
Following that call we received this press release from Royal/T owner Susan Hancock:
Throughout the past 5 years in Culver City, Royal/T has always evolved by working with new artists, chefs and brands. Although Royal/T's Culver City location will be closing after 5 amazing years, this moment marks an exciting time for an expansion on what Royal T has always done. Royal T will be announcing in the near future an upcoming series of roaming special events, exhibits, shows, brand partnerships, and pop-ups in Los Angeles and around the world, so please stay tuned.Be sure to like Culver City Patch on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
We are excited to celebrate with you in our final months in Culver City with “The Art of Cooking" exhibition opening on Friday, April 27.
